Albion’s Premier League Season Comparison – 8 games

Published on: Author: Jon Want

Albion maintained their unbeaten record at Leicester City’s new stadium, and could’ve snatched all three points after grabbing the lead thanks to a fantastic free kick from Nacer Chadli on his first appearance of the season.

Albion’s record after eight games is almost identical to the same stage last season, with the only difference being that the 2016 side had scored two more goals, and conceded one less. Interestingly, had Albion repeated last season’s results from the equivalent fixtures, they would currently be lying fourth with 17 points.

Monday night games have never been great for the Baggies, particularly away from home, with their only victory on the road in a Monday night Premier League match coming at Anfield in February 2013.

Next up is a trip to Southampton for another televised fixture on Saturday evening.
