Victory over Watford lifted Albion into 6th place, albeit briefly as Sunday’s match between Everton and Manchester United will see one of them move above the Baggies.
This is, once again, Albion’s second best start to a Premier League season behind 2012/13, and those are the only two seasons in which Albion have had a positive goal difference after 14 games. Albion only have two more points than they did at this stage last season, but they are seven places better off in the Premier League table.
This is the first time that Albion have won game 14 of a Premier League season and only once have they won game 15. That was back in 2010, when Albion recorded a surprise 4-1 win at Goodison Park in game 15, their first league win at Everton since the 1978/79 season.
