The 32-year wait did come to an end on Sunday as Albion beat Manchester United in a league game at the Hawthorns for the first time since 1984.
After having had their first say in the title race during the week, Albion will now aim to dent Manchester United’s aims of what, for most of the season, appeared to be an unlikely finish in the Champions League places
Albion managed to maintain their unbeaten record at the King Power / Walkers Stadium and thereby also maintain this season as their second best in the Premier League. 36 points from 28 games is bettered only by the 2012/13 total of 40 points at the same point.
Once again, Tony Pulis succeeded in galvanising his team into pulling a result out of the bag, even though they nearly through it away, thereby producing back-to-back Premier League wins for the third time this season.
