Along with the wait for a league double over Villa, Albion’s wait for two Premier League wins in January also goes on for another season.
When Albion and Villa met for the double-header in March last year, it was the Villains who came out on top in both games helping to kick start their season which resulted in them comfortably avoiding relegation and getting hammered by Arsenal in the FA Cup Final.
Match 23 has not been kind to the Baggies in their Premier League years with no victories just three points from the nine fixtures to date. This weekend’s match also represents Albion’s last chance to grab a second January victory in a Premier League season for the first time.
