After back to back defeats, the sounds of discontentment have got louder on the Albion fans’ message boards and social media groups. That is understandable, but in my opinion, calls for Darren Moore’s head are a massive over-reaction.
A thumping home defeat against Derby means that only once in the comparison period have the Baggies been promoted with a worse record after 14 games.
After a two week international break, the games have returned thick and fast for the Baggies against tough opposition. Having lost to 8th-placed Wigan on Saturday they now face the sides currently in 5th and 7th inside four days at the Hawthorns.
I was frustrated as any Baggies fan leaving the DW Stadium yesterday, but on reflection I think that it was more a case of Wigan blunting Albion which highlighted the known weaknesses in Darren Moore’s team.
