Despite the feelings of most fans as they left the Hawthorns yesterday, this is, in fact, Albion’s second best ever start to a Premier League season in terms of the statistics, at least.
Four points from three games is only bettered by the seven that was achieved from the opening trio in 2012 and, while Albion also got four points in the first three games of 2005/6, the goal difference was somewhat poorer having been hammered 4-0 at Chelsea in game three.
And so we wait for the last few days of the transfer window to play out, and wonder how different the starting line-up will be at Dean Court in two weeks.
