Albion’s poor record in game 30 continues, and the game 31 stats don’t look too good either. The Baggies haven’t won the 31st game of a Premier League season since Roy Hodgson was in charge, the 2-1 win over Liverpool in 2013, and the last two season have produce memorable collapses from the Albion defence against team that were ultimately relegated – 4-1 against QPR last season, and losing a 2-0 lead, and then a stoppage time 3-2 lead against Cardiff City the season before.
And, of course, we face another struggling side this seasons game 31 at the Stadium of Light.
Despite the defeat to Norwich, this season remains Albion’s second best in terms of points at this stage, some five points short of the 2012 total of 44 after 31 games.
