Albion secured their fortieth point at the Stadium of Light last Saturday ahead of a tough run of fixtures in which they play three of the top four in their next four games. The first of those comes in the televised fixture on Saturday evening at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium.
The 40-point mark has only been reached quicker once before in Albion’s Premier League history, although this is only the fourth season that the Baggies have passed that psychological barrier.
