West Bromwich Albion face Leicester City at the Hawthorns this weekend and it’s difficult to find something new to say about what seems to be the Baggies’ doomed efforts to stay in the Premier League.
It was a better performance than against Huddersfield, but ultimately it was the same result. A story of Albion’s season as they failed to take their chances and one mistake cost them.
Weather permitting, Albion will be supported by a sell-out following in excess of 2,000 at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon for what could see the end of Alan Pardew’s days at the Hawthorns. However, it won’t take Miss Marple to work out whodunit, this is very much a case of suicide.
Until Saturday, I retained a modicum of hope that Albion could find the results necessary to stay in the Premier League, but what I saw against Huddersfield has changed my mind.
