The Times described it as “hapless tinkering”, but I think Krychowiak had some harsher words to describe the decision to taken him off after an hour of the game against Leicester, and there were certainly a few coarser descriptions from fans near me in the Birmingham Road End.
It was a better performance than against Huddersfield, but ultimately it was the same result. A story of Albion’s season as they failed to take their chances and one mistake cost them.
Until Saturday, I retained a modicum of hope that Albion could find the results necessary to stay in the Premier League, but what I saw against Huddersfield has changed my mind.
